Sangster joins Aushorse board
Adam Sangster has joined the board of thoroughbred marketing and promotions company Aushorse Marketing Pty Ltd.
Sangster is the proprietor of Swettenham Stud and a son of the late Robert Sangster, a pioneer breeder who reshaped the industry in the UK and Australia during the 1970s and 1980s.
Adam Sangster has headed the family’s Australian operations since 1991 in close association with Lindsay Park and the late C S Hayes and his son David.
Adam became an Australian citizen in 2004 and he assumed full ownership of Swettenham Stud at Nagambie in Victoria’s North East in 2005 when the family’s worldwide bloodstock business was restructured.
He has assembled a successful roster of stallions and is prominent in local and Victorian breeding bodies.
"He is an energetic and innovative promoter of the Victorian breeding industry including the north east region and is strongly committed to furthering the interests of all breeders regardless of size or location," Aushorse chairman Antony Thompson said.
"Adam will bring essential skills of communications and marketing to the board as it strives to build on last years record number of horse exports and increased racehorse ownership awareness."
Sangster said he was looking forward to contributing to the industry’s marketing push into world markets and domestic ownership.
