Date set for Laming EPO hearing
Co-trainers Bevan and Richard Laming will face 10 charges at a Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board hearing in April after two of their horses returned positive swabs to EPO.
On November 20 last year, the father-son combination was charged by Racing Victoria stewards as a result of an investigation into Benelli and War Dancer testing positive to the banned substance.
Both horses tested positive to the prohibited substance darbepoetin alfa which is a synthetic form of erythropoietin (EPO).
Racing Analytical Services Limited detected EPO during the screening of out-of-competition blood samples taken from Benelli last year on June 11 and July 2 and War Dancer on June 11.
The hearing has been provisionally set down for April 12.
