Our Horses - Pure Drama gallop 3_websize_96ppi From the first crop of stallion Pure Theatre, Pure Drama showed plenty of promise during her late 2 yr old/ early 3 yr old campaign, winning her second ever start by 2 1/2 lengths at Wyong on the 29th of July.

Starting next up in the Group 3 San Domenico at Rosehill, she ran a gallant fifth on a dead track to Duporth, who went on to claim the Group 2 Golden Rose. Encountering interference throughout the race, she nevertheless finished off the race strongly.

A decision to spell her over the winter has seen her develop into a stronger, more mature horse, and there is every reason to believe that there is room for plenty of improvement this campaign.

Trained by Gosford trainer Charlie Britt, she is raced by an leasing syndicate and managed by Mr John Peoples.

A flagship filly for the popular leasing arrangements, Pure Drama has provided plenty of excitement for her happy connections.

Leasing arrangements are seeing a surge in popularity for those who want to get involved in the racing industry, without the massive overheads associated with purchasing a promising horse.’s John Peoples commented “people enjoy the flexibility that leasing offers – they can get involved in a decent horse without the initial outlay, and they can enjoy racing as part of a social group. In addition to this they don’t have to worry about management issues;we ensure that the horses go to the best trainers and we have access to the best jockeys, all for a low monthly cost – it’s a great way to “dip your toes” into the sport of Kings and get amongst it”
