Donna's Honour finds great form

The decision to bring Donna’s Honour to the city paid dividends for young Gosford trainer Charlie Britt at Canterbury on Thursday when the promising Honours List filly smashed the opposition to win the Furniture One Trade Show Feb 24 Handicap (1100m).

Donna's Honour The robust three-year-old overhauled the leaders with a powerful finishing blitz, leaving Peace Academy in second and Above Perfection hanging on for third after vying for the front.

A confident Britt commented “This filly has such a great temperament and is so honest, you know she is going to put everything into her races. She’s still learning but I have no doubt that she will be going onto bigger and better things and it is always exciting to be training horses like that. Hopefully between her success and Pure Drama’s, we will get some more horses to train!"

Jockey Corey Brown was delighted with the performance "She’s a really promising filly to hit the line like that, as long as she keeps going the way she is going she will be getting some black type in the future" syndicate members were also delighted with the win, which brought the filly’s three year old tally to two wins and a close second from 3 runs as a 3 yr old.
