Seriously Good seriously injured

Promising three-year-old Seriously Good had a good excuse for not finishing the Caulfield Guineas after vets diagnosed him with a broken pelvis.
The Bel Esprit gelding retired from Saturday’s feature lame in his off hind leg and trainer Peter Morgan reported to stewards on Monday that a pelvis fracture had been detected.

The injury is expected to force Seriously Good off the scene for 12 months.

Seriously Good has raced six times and made it to the Guineas after scoring his maiden win over Smokin’ Joey in last month’s Handicap (1440m) at Caulfield.
