Quinn suspended at Canterbury
Rod Quinn was handed a six-meeting suspension at Canterbury on Wednesday.
The veteran was outed over his ride on the unplaced Esprit Lad in the 7 Deadly Sins Party On Sale Handicap (1100m).
Quinn pleaded guilty to careless riding in that approaching the first turn he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of Jay Ford’s ride Magic Weekend.
Ford’s mount clipped heels and blundered and caused Buona Fortuna to be steadied by his rider Peter Robl.
Quinn’s ban commences on November 18 and he will be eligible to return on November 30
