Paprika draws the rail for Magic Millions

Unbeaten Queensland filly Paprika has firmed again for the Magic Millions after drawing barrier six for Saturday’s $2 million race at the Gold Coast.

TAB Sportsbet has the Liam Birchley-trained two-year-old at $2.50 ahead of Horizons and Racing Pegasus both at $7.50.

The winner of four races, Paprika tightened into an odds-on quote last week but eased to $2.60 on Monday.

The Gai Waterhouse-trained Horizons was as much as $12 but firmed after drawing gate nine while Koblenz was back out to $18 from $12 after drawing barrier 18 of 21.

The Waterhouse pair of Bhutane Dane and Rock Kingdom fared badly with barriers 16 and 17 respectively in the $1 million Magic Millions Trophy for three-year-olds with Express Air elevated to $3.20 favourite after drawing gate seven.

Rock Kingdom eased to $4.60 while Bhutane Dane was a $9 chance.
