McEvoy to ride two in comeback
Darley stable jockey Kerrin McEvoy will ride two horses for Peter Snowden when he makes his comeback at Canterbury on Wednesday.
McEvoy has been out of action since fracturing a vertebra in an ugly race fall during the Takeover Target Stakes at Gosford in June.He was given the all clear by doctors to return to the saddle two weeks ago and immediately started riding trackwork at Warwick Farm before showing his wares at the barrier trials in Sydney last week.
On Wednesday, McEvoy’s day kicks off aboard first start winner Caveat in the first race on the card – The Liquor Coop Handicap over 1100m.
He then jumps aboard the promising Palomares in race 4 – the Clubmart Handicap over 1250m to round out his book.
