Hyeronimous suspended at Kensington
Apprentice Adam Hyeronimous has been suspended following causing interference in the final event at Kensington on Wednesday.
Hyeronimous, aboard second placegetter Zarock in the numberoneclub.com.au Handicap (1100m), allowed his mount to drift out, causing Tim Clark on third placegetter Eager Beaver to check on the line.
Corey Brown, on eventual winner Outofafrika who was on the outside of the pair, came in slightly right on the line, but was found to have no case to answer.
Hyeronimous’s interference was judged to be in the moderate range of careless riding, which was deemed as a seven meeting suspension.
However, his guilty plea, his inexperience and his record of not having a similar suspension for more than two years resulted in a reduction of the time to three meetings.
His suspension starts on from the completion of the meetings on Saturday April 2, going through to the following Saturday on which day he may ride.
