Hinchinbrook out of Golden Jubilee

Hinchinbrook out of Golden JubileeThe Peter Moody-trained Hinchinbrook is out of the Group I Golden Jubilee Stakes (1200m) at Royal Ascot on Saturday.
Reports are the colt has suffered a strain to a suspensory ligament and his future racing career is up in the air.

“Unfortunately Hinchinbrook was found with a lamenes issue at Newmarket this morning and will now not be running on Saturday and may be retired,” Moody said on Twitter.

Hinchinbrook was due to take on fellow Australian Star Witness in the feature race at Royal Ascot this Saturday.

The colt had settled in well prior to the injury and was rated a $10 for the race.

Star Witness still assumes favouritism at $3.75 following his gallant second in Tuesday’s Kings Stand Stakes.

The race is scheduled to start at 12.45am Sunday.
