Conqueror of So You Think to step out at Scone

1Former Sydney based galloper More Than Great is set to make his return to racing after being sidelined for more than a year in Friday’s Prydes Easifeed Scone Quality Handicap (1100m). Now trained by the Coffs Harbour-based Brett Dodson, More Than Great beat dual Cox Plate winner So You Think in the Listed Ming Dynasty during his three-year-old season.

More Than Great has been off the scene since finishing last in the Listed Darby Munro Stakes in April 2010 but Dodson warned that the son of More Than Ready is getting back to his best.

”He’s going really well, he won a trial the other day by three lengths,” Dodson said.

”He’s nominated for the Doomben 10,000 and the Stradbroke but we’ve missed a bit of work through injury and bad weather.”

More Than Great has been fitted up for his return two two barrier trials at Coffs Harbour and Muswellbrook. Now a four-year-old, the entire won both trials.
