Black Caviar injured in Ascot victory

The Australian champion underwent precautionary x-rays after her narrow victory in the Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot, which have revealed no major issues.
Trainer PETER MOODY says injuries are not career-threatening, and say she’s suffered some soft tissue damage which she’s had before.
Both MOODY and the mare’s owners agree the injury and her slightly below-par run are no reason to think about retirement, despite MOODY floating the suggestion after the race.
Black Caviar won the race by a head, at odds of 1-6.
