Barrier seven for Denman at the Caulfield Guineas

The favourite Denman has drawn barrier seven of 11 for Saturday’s Group One $1 million Caulfield Guineas.

The Peter Snowden-trained Lonhro colt, the winner of the last six of his seven starts, was successful in the Group One $1 million Golden Rose (1400m) at Rosehill on August 29 and last start won the Group Two Stan Fox Stakes (1400m) at Randwick on September 26.
He will again be ridden by Kerrin McEvoy in Saturday’s 1600m Caulfield feature.
Gai Waterhouse’s Manhattan Rain, the winner of the Group One AJC Sires’ Produce Stakes (1400m) at Randwick during the autumn, has number two saddlecloth and drew immediately inside Denman in gate six.
The Leon Corstens-trained Starspangledbanner came up with the rails draw while Bart Cummings’ So You Think drew the outside stall.
