Afforestation scores upset win in Jungle Juice Cup


Apprentice Timothy Bell lifted Afforestation to an upset victory in the Jungle Juice Cup at Cessnock on Tuesday.

Timothy Bell Trained by Cessnock-based Robert Davies, Afforestation started at $26 and defeated $4 favourite Planet Melmac by 1-3/4 lengths with Go Gus ($51) half a length away third in the 1350-metre race.
Bell, 16, who is based at Tamworth in NSW’s New England region, put himself on the racing map by claiming back-to-back city wins aboard Border Rebel at Rosehill in May and June.
